Academy Merino v-Neck
In discovering the Academy brand, I am very happy with the fit and style of the Merino V-Neck but also the other long sleeve shirts within the collection. Therefore, in normally wearing a 41 collar, 86 long sleeve business shirt I found that I am a large in the Academy Overshirts whereas I am a medium in the merino knits. Another important feature I noticed is that the Academy Merino knit is woven from a thicker merino wool and where it feels more heavy weight when first putting it on in comparison to the Blaq and/or Essential brands that you may find in Myer although perhaps not as heavy weight as Rodd and Gunn.
Otherwise, as for the general fit of the garment I find that the medium sizing is just right for me and where the contrasting hem of the neckline fabric is doubled over and holds its shape when worn over a white t-shirt. By contrast, the Blaq and Essential V-neck merino jumpers that I own are of the thinner type that you may wear over a business shirt and/or under a jacket and where that the Academy brand may be more versatile especially for a smart casual environment where it may be dressed up with a blazer in an office setting or perhaps dressed down with a t-shirt jeans and Vans at a gig on the weekend.
