Returns & Exchanges

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are unhappy for any reason, we will gladly accept your return. Full priced items can be returned within 30 days of arrival for a return or exchange. Merchandise must be unworn, unwashed, and in its original condition with all tags attached. Strictly no refunds on sale items.  

Christmas Extended Returns

Shop with us Online & In store this Christmas with the comfort of knowing our extended return policy. All purchases from November 9th have an extended return period until January 15th.

Online Returns & Exchanges - NEW!

Australian customers can now lodge and send their returns back to Academy HQ via the Australia Post Returns Portal. Follow the simple steps in the portal to create your return label. All returns are a flat rate of $12.20 charged by Australia Post. 

Please ensure the Academy Returns Form is included within the parcel and filled out correctly and clearly. If you did not receive this view below.

Customers are responsible for shipping & handling charges for posting items back to us unless deemed faulty. 

We will credit your original method of payment, excluding shipping charges and sales tax on shipping charges (unless goods are defective or not as ordered). Please allow up to 7 days for your item to be processed.

Online returns to store

We welcome online customers to head into Academy Brand Stores for a refund or exchange. Please ensure you bring along your order confirmation. - This excludes David Jones Stores. 

Online Exchanges

Online exchanges are only applicable to Australian & NZ customers. Please lodge your return request via the Australia Post Returns Portal and follow the simple steps to create your return label. 

Please ensure the Academy Brand Returns Form is included in your parcel.

International Returns 

International customers (excluding NZ) if you're not satisfied with your online purchase and would like to make a return please send this back to Academy HQ via registered post.

Please note we do not offer exchanges for International parcels. We suggest opting for a refund and placing your order again via the website.

Online Store Credits will be emailed to you once your return has been processed. 

Sale Items

Strictly no refunds on sale or outlet items (unless faulty), so please choose carefully. We will happily exchange the item for something of the same value.

Returns with Afterpay

If you have purchased with Afterpay we will happily accept your return. The payment plan will be cancelled if we receive your return before the first instalment is due. – This means you will not have to pay a thing.

If the first instalment has already been made when you return the items back to us we can cancel the rest of your payment plan and refund the initial payments you have made.

If you wish to return certain products from your order, we will remove these items from your payment plan. The original payment instalments will remain the same however the final payments will be less or cancelled depending on the return amount. You can log into your Afterpay account at any time to review your payment status.

Faulty Items

Please contact our customer care team at support@academybrand.com if you have encountered a faulty item. Please include clear photos of the damaged product and proof of purchase.

If your item is deemed faulty, the Academy Brand will do its best to replace the item or issue a refund. The Academy Brand will provide you with a return shipment label if the item is deemed faulty.

Please note all faulty items purchased outside of the Academy Brand must be reported and returned to the same store. This is due to different returns and faulty procedures.
