The Complete Guide To Men's Shirts

It doesn’t matter the occasion, picking the ultimate shirt will have you looking on-trend with little to no stress. There is something for everyone, just remember the two key considerations are always the material and the cut. Look for quality linen and cotton fabrics, these are not only durable but also extremely comfortable to wear. It is always a good to have a wardrobe staple or two, like the classic button-down shirt or polo shirt, both timeless. Explore even more different types of shirts below to see what suits you best.

1. The Linen Shirt

Linen fabric is known for its breathability and temperature regulating properties making this a suitable choice all year round, no matter the cold or hot conditions!

Whether you are after an open breezy summer option or perhaps something to layer up for winter, then linen is a great choice with regards to its versatility. If you’re shopping to find the perfect linen, look no further!

2. The Oxford Button-Down Shirt

The classic cotton Oxford shirts can easily take you from day-to-night. The concealed button-down collar keeps things sleek and subtle, this a long sleeve shirt that never goes out of style. Appropriate for those semi-formal occasions, or pair it with a chino for the ultimate 9-5 look.

One of our favourite is the Dillon Oxford, a staple for many seasons, it is available in a selection of easy to wear colours. Another is the Vintage Oxford Shirt, an update on the classic Oxford, available in new seasonal colours this shirt will add a little interest to your everyday wardrobe. Living up to its ‘vintage’ name, the oxford has been pigment garment-dyed and enzyme washed for an authentic lived-in look and feel.

3. Check Shirts

Check Shirts have become a mainstay in Men’s outfitting. A timeless, versatile pattern that will keep you warm through winter with its brushed cotton surface and flannelette look and feel.

When browsing for check shirts this season, look for ones that have been enzyme washed. Enzyme washing is an alternative to stone washing, a bio technique using cellulase enzymes to soften the fabric. As well as making the fabric super soft and that much more comfortable, it also gives it that vintage, slightly faded look (for extra street cred!).

We love using the enzyme wash for all our check shirts regardless of colour or silhouette.

4. Polo Shirts

We all know and love the classic polo shirt, we have crafted a polo that is a more refined and modern fit, using premium mid-weight pique fabrication. For this polo, pigment garment-dye is used, this is where the pigment actually sits on top of the fabric, rather than being embedded. This allows for a more worn look, it naturally causes a subtle distressed feel to the shirt, that requires no ironing! Ideal for that timeless sporty style, style it up with a cult chino or opt for something more casual with a jersey jogger pant.
